Rochester, NY - Hyatt Regency Rochester is excited to announce that its $18.5 million renovation is complete. The dramatic changes to the hotel position itself as the premier destination for business, convention and leisure travelers.

“Our complete transformation can be witnessed, not only in the vast architectural changes to the property, but in the new amenities we will be offering,” says Jay Rettberg, general manager of Hyatt Regency Rochester. “Our vision, with this renovation was to recapture the vibrancy and energy of downtown. All of these changes are designed to excite and inspire all who stay with us.”

All of the guestrooms and premier suites have been renovated to include sleek flooring, docking stations, 55 in. flat panel televisions, modern shower units and luxurious Frette bed linens, utilized in only the finest hotels worldwide. Spacious and airy public spaces feature comfortable areas for guests to work and connect.

A partnership with ARTISANworks allows pieces from renown artists such as Albert Paley, Gregory Johnson, Greg Gavin, Carl Chiarenza, Robert Farber, Renea Menzies Richard Quataert, Jefferey Bisallion, Stan Sobossek and Ron Ketchum to be displayed in the lobby. The art, combined with the striking architectural features of the newly designed hotel, creates an inspiring experience for the traveler through a kaleidoscope of culture.

Over 20,000 square feet of function space has undergone a redesign with new carpeting and wall coverings. The Grand Ballroom which can host up to 640 guests for a banquet, now features an entire wall of floor to ceiling windows letting in abundant natural light and a view of Main Street. From small executive gatherings to corporate conferences, the dynamic and always versatile meeting venues have been redesigned to motivate and stimulate ideas.

The renovation also brings in new dining destinations. These new outlets have already been established: The Street Craft Kitchen and Bar, Center City Terrace and Lounge, Starbucks and Morton's The Steakhouse.

On lobby level, The Street Craft Kitchen and Bar features a sprawling bar area and comfortable seating overlooking Main Street. The menu is inspired by street food around the world, embracing global flavors and local ingredients. Craft beers and fine wines from breweries and wineries near and far as well as inventive cocktails featuring spirits from local distilleries are featured on its drink list.

Center City Terrace and Lounge, on the 4th floor rooftop, brings a coveted outdoor space in the midst of the urban landscape. Nestled in the center of the city, this spacious terrace is the ideal place for informal gatherings or can be reserved for private events. Center City Terrace features a tapas-style menu and its own unique drink offerings.

A full-store Starbucks is located at street level within the hotel, convenient for guests and the public. It offers free wifi and plenty of space to work and relax.

Morton's The Steakhouse has joined the Rochester, NY food scene and has set up residence within the hotel itself. The high-end steakhouse occupies 7,500-square-feet of space and is one of 74 other locations worldwide. Morton's is accessible via street level and from within the hotel itself.

The Stayfit Fitness Center has also received an upgrade. All cardio exercise machines have been replaced with equipment from The Excite® collection by Technogym. The new machines offer guests a fully-connected fitness experience where they will be able to track their statistics and use almost any app such as Netflix, Hulu and Facebook, while working out.

Besides physical upgrades, new technology has been added to enhance the experience for leisure and business guests. Zingle, a customer text-messaging service, is implemented, allowing guests to communicate to staff via text-messaging, bringing convenience for them and faster response times from the staff.

The hotel has also brought in a dedicated concierge service, further enhancing its commitment to perfecting the guest experience. Guests will even be able to contact the concierge desk before their arrival to ensure any requests are handled before check-in.
